RECENT PRODUCT RECALLS

The Consumer, Product and Safety Commission (CPSC) said 2,000 pairs of baby socks are being recalled due to a potential hazard. According to the CPSC, a small ornament on the socks can detach and cause young children to choke.

The socks come in children’s sizes 0-12 months and were sold for about $10 at boutique gift stores across the country from October 2017 through December 2018. Some of the socks had the following characters like stitched on the toe of the garment:

  • Snowman
  • Reindeer
  • Whale
  • Flamingo
  • Tiger
  • Shark

The company, Midwest-CBK, has already received one report about the rattle detaching from the sock and says that parents need to avoid using the socks on their children. The company also asks that customers contact them at (800) 394-4225 to request a full refund. You can also send an email to productrecovery@mwcbk.com for more information.

BULK UNLIMITED RECALLS CHILDREN'S GLOBES

Approximately 3,000 children's globes have been recalled by Bulk Unlimited due to a potential fire hazard. The CPSC says the Little Experimenter children’s globe is a fire and burn hazard because the internal wires can short out and overheat.

Amazon, eBay, and Littleexperimenter.com carried the globes from October 2018 through January 2019. The globes that have been recalled have a date code of 102018-107. The code can be found on a sticker under the battery compartment cover and on the product packaging just underneath the UPC or barcode.

Bulk Unlimited asks parents to contact the company to receive a free replacement globe. Bulk Unlimited will also be contacting known purchasers directly to inform them about the recall. You can reach the company at (877) 206-1171.
